Our Board

The Gary Paxton Industrial Park board is a five member board made up of community members that have an interest in growing Sitka's economy and seeing the GPIP become a marine based industrial park & economic driver for the city of Sitka.

Scott Wagner-Chair

Scott has been on the GPIP board since 2014 and is currently serving as the Chair.  Scott's experience as the Operations Manager at NSRAA brings a marine fisheries perspective that is crucial to the success of the GPIP.

Hugh Bevan- Vice Chair

Hugh has been a member of the GPIP Board since 2016. Hugh's experience includes past SEDA Director, Public Works Director & City of Sitka Administrator.  In his free time, Hugh enjoys hunting and photography in the remote areas of Sitka.

Dan Jones-Vice Chair

Dan has been serving the GPIP board since 2011 & brings a wealth of knowledge to the table as a Civil and Environmental Engineering. In his down time, Dan enjoys spending time with his family and traveling.

Sheila Finkenbinder

Sheila joined the GPIP Board in 2017. Sheila's experience as an entrepreneur, a nonprofit founder and director, and as a legislative aide has been a welcome addition to the table.  In her free time, Sheila enjoys running her Sitka-based Airbnb.

WAYNE UNGER

Wayne joined the GPIP Board in 2018.  He has been working for Silver Bay Seafoods since March 2008 and the seafood processing business for 20+ years.  He owned a contracting business for 12 years. Wayne is on the Sitka Advisory Committee for the Board of Fish & Game. He enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking, & camping.
